It was the best flight we've had...seemed to be more leg room on the Boeing 777 and it was on time! We flew over Prince Edward Island and even saw the 12 mile (?km) long bridge to the mainland. So now that I've seen it I don't feel sad that we didn't get there! I can't believe how excited I felt when we started to fly over Ireland with all it's pretty stone fences, then Wales, then England...life felt 'normal' again. (We thought we saw some whales swimming in the Irish Sea.) Flying over the Severn Estuary,we had a great view of the Severn Bridge. It was also great to hear the stewardesses speaking with English accents - I could understand them! It was our first transatlantic flight, but between N. America and Ireland, there wasn't much to see:
Dad was able to ring David Miller as the Airport has wifi so we met up very easily. It was SO good to see him. We were soon home to find Meg, Ben and Andrew, and John soon also appeared. So great catching up and I can see there's going to be a lot of talking over the next 2 days!!

Glad to you had good flight. Such a rare blessing! Still would like to go to PEI myself...
